How pricing works
What you pay for, and what you don't.
There are two separate things here, and I keep them separate on purpose.
The planning fee pays for the work — the research, the vetting, the writing, the picks, the revisions. It's what makes the trip feel curated instead of generated, and it's paid by you, so the recommendations answer to you.
Booking is different. Anything I book for you — things like hotels, resorts, cruises, experiences, and transportation, as applicable — runs through my host agency. You still pay for the booking itself, at the same rate you'd get on your own; what you don't pay is a fee for me to handle it. My side is covered by a standard commission the supplier pays the agency — it doesn't change your rate, and it never comes out of your pocket.
So: pay a planning fee when you want the trip designed. Pay nothing extra to have me book it. You're investing in judgment and time saved — not in markups.
